Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content and Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

We are aware of the following issues and we plan to have these fixed by 31 March 2026:

  • Focus Visibility: It is not always easy to tell which element has keyboard focus. This fails WCAG 2.4.7 (Focus Visible).

  • Content on Hover or Focus: Some content that appears on hover or focus cannot be dismissed without moving the pointer or keyboard focus. This fails WCAG 1.4.13 (Content on Hover or Focus).

  • Contrast: Some text and graphical elements do not have sufficient colour contrast against their backgrounds. This fails WCAG 1.4.3 (Contrast (Minimum)).

  • Structure and Relationships: Some information, structure, or relationships are not programmatically determined (for example, incorrect use of headings or labels). This fails WCAG 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).

  • Links and Interactive Elements: Some links do not have a clear purpose in context, and some interactive components do not have correct names, roles, or values. This fails WCAG 2.4.4 (Link Purpose (In Context)) and WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).

  • Target Size: Some interactive elements are too small for users to easily select, especially on touchscreens. This fails WCAG 2.5.8 (Target Size (Minimum)).

  • Keyboard Access: Some functionality is not accessible using only a keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1.1 (Keyboard).

  • Moving Content: Some moving or scrolling information cannot be paused, stopped, or hidden. This fails WCAG 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide).

  • Focus Obscured: In some instances, the item with keyboard focus is hidden by other content on the page. This fails WCAG 2.4.11 (Focus Not Obscured).

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 16 January 2026. It will be reviewed on 31 March 2026.

This website was last tested on 16 January 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.

The assessment was carried out using a combination of methods. This included a partial audit conducted by the Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO) which covered a subset of pages and guidelines. To ensure a comprehensive review, we also conducted our own internal auditing process, using automated testing tools reciteme.co.uk.
